I’m always interested in capturing light in my paintings and you can’t do that without areas of darkness. It really is a metaphor for life in many ways. I enjoyed painting these buttercups coming toward the light, giving us all hope of Spring and warmer weather. I enjoy painting what makes me happy and I hope is that it translates to the viewer.
